Cartoon Tuesday: A Pimpin' Christmas Comic at The Eastland
Before we begin, I want to say thank you to all our new subscribers, and surprise congratulations to the lucky winner who just happened to be the 200th: Tim Fortin! A longtime bartender at The Great Lost Bear who went on to run a popular supermarket chain’s distribution center, Tim’s been personally responsible for keeping millions of Mainers and visitors fed and beered for decades — no small feat! He’s also about the best barstool conversationalist one could hope to meet. So congratulations, Tim! As the winner of this secret contest we made up yesterday while drinking at the Villa, you get the beverage of your choice next time I see ya down there!
For this week’s Cartoon Tuesday feature, we pick up Bollardhead’s story as he meets a new major character, Rupert, at the Eastland Park Hotel while cannily disguised as Who frontman Roger Daltrey… (Originally published Dec. 26, 2005; thus the holly)
