HIGHLIGHT
The summer exhibitions at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art (21 Winter St., Rockland) open this Saturday with a reception from 3-5 p.m. NATURE CULT, SEEDED, by North Haven artist Donald Moffett, features a large assemblage of gold-painted tree limbs bolted together to form a totemic object, as well as sculpture and panel paintings. To Whom Keeps a Record consists of the Black-conscious photographic series “Possible Bibliography” and an interactive sculptural work, “Music Brings Goodness to Us All Unless One Has Some Other Motive for Its Use,” by Arnold J. Kemp. And portraits, landscapes and geometric paintings and drawings by Bronlyn Jones and Robert Bauer are also on view through Sept. 8.
