Three-Day Weekender Edition: Go Big for Jill! Clam on! Last waltz at Sun Tiki, First Waltz at The Apohadion, and much, much more!
HIGHLIGHT
Got word this morning that one of the brightest lights in our local music scene could use a little help. Jill Koufman has sustained numerous serious injuries after a hit-and-run driver struck her while she was riding her bike in South Portland two days ago. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help her recover and not lose everything in the meantime (a.k.a. The American Way we do healthcare). Like the living embodiment of the joy of music, Jill’s most widely recognized for her exuberant dancing at shows all over town — most often at Geno’s, the punk rock club on Congress, and Amigos, in the Old Port, where Fat Knuckle Freddy’s Saturday gig on the patio will not be the same without her. If you can, please consider chipping in to help Jill get back on her dancin’ feet.
