A rock documentary that world-premieres every time it's shown!
HIGHLIGHT
Tonight, at the Portland Museum of Art in li’l ol’ Portland, Maine, it’s the world-premiere screening of Eno, the new rock documentary about visionary musician and producer Brian Eno! And by “world premiere,” we mean a never-before-seen edit of the film, with scenes and sequencing to be determined during the experience of watching it. Director Gary Hustwit and “creative technologist” Brendan Dawes “developed bespoke generative software designed to sequence scenes and create transitions out of Hustwit’s original interviews with Eno, and Eno’s rich archive of hundreds of hours of never-before-seen footage, and unreleased music,” according to the filmmakers. God knows what any future streaming and DVD versions will do… It starts at 6 p.m. Tix: $10. 775-6148. portlandmuseum.org.
